A Visit from Saint Nicholas

Volunteer! Baton Rouge began celebrating Saint Nicholas Day in 2002 by providing backpacks filled with toys and books to children at pre-selected schools throughout the Baton Rouge area.

Since 2002 we’ve continued to bring smiles to even more children. Many corporate and community volunteers come together for this outreach event. Children in pre-K through 3rd grade arrive on this magical morning to find gold tinsel sprinkled in the hallways, and on each desk is a backpack filled with toys and books. This outreach event not only benefits deserving children, but also provides financial support to the community programs of Volunteer! Baton Rouge.

You can be a part of the magic for the children. Help us reach our goal of 3,000 students this year.
